Judy Moody & Stink: The Holly Joliday is adapted hilariously for the stage by Griffen McDonald from the classic children’s chapter book by Megan McDonald (no relation). The story follows the adventures of Judy Moody and her younger brother, Stink, during the holiday season. Stink is determined that this year, the only present he truly wants is snow – but Judy says that can’t possibly happen where they live!
In their holiday adventures, Judy and Stink learn all about different types of snowflakes, perform their diverse Holiday School Pageant that celebrates traditions around the world, and interact with both a singing parrot and a playful, cuddly cat. In the end, Judy and Stink learn about the true meaning of the holidays, the importance of family and friendship, and discover that the spirit of giving is more rewarding than receiving. And maybe, just maybe, with the help of a mysterious old mailman who might be the genuine-and-for-real Jack Frost… it may possibly actually snow and turn the whole theater into a winter wonderland!
