Shake It Up! Shakespeare is for serious — and seriously playful — young people who are ready to focus their minds and bodies on the challenge of bringing the Bard to life on the historic Scottish Rite stage. Under the expert guidance of Andee Kinzy from ImprovEd Shakespeare, campers will bring the whimsical comedy of “Twelfth Night” to life–a hilarious tale of mistaken identities and romantic entanglements. 

 

Each day at camp is a new adventure! Campers will engage in lively theatre and improvisation games, inspiring museum visits, and in-depth scene work. They’ll explore the richness of Shakespeare’s language and stories through dynamic performance and playful activities designed to ignite a passion for the arts and build lasting skills in communication, teamwork, and creative thinking. They might even enjoy a surprise visit from Shakespeare Pigeon Theatre! As the grand finale, our young players will take the stage for a public performance – decked out in ImprovEd Shakespeare costume finery. Huzzah!
